InterModul System
The target of the InterModul System is the modular connection of industrial devices over an intelligent wireless network to a central Internet-Server. So it is possible to collect, analyse and show fielddata in real time.
Mode of operation
The InterModul System is composed of one or more InterModul CPUs (Communication & Processing Units) and the InterModul Server:

The InterModul CPU works as an interface between the peripheral device and the server. These stay continuously connected over GPRS. The InterModul CPU integrates a program-mable logical unit and can so control the attached application. An optional GPS-Unit allows to determine the current position for further processing or to send the information to server (for mobile applications).
The InterModul Server is the central point for data collection, analyzing and data retrieving. The server offers a comfortable user platform to manage and program the In-terModul CPUs and supports many programming languages for individual data processing.

The InterModul System is enabled to work with all modern means of communication like e-mails, fax reports, SMS or a simple request by a Webpage.
Security
The data exchange between InterModul CPU and server is basend on a secure protocol and can be encrypted. The access to the server is protected by tried and tested security stan-dards. When required it’s possible to publish the informations on web for everyone or to protect them with password or HTTPS-client-certificates.
